Our client, established for over 40 years and a service provider for electronic components, is looking to recruit a Goods In Clerk, ensuring goods received are inspected and registered on the company database (SAP) in an accurate, efficient and timely manner and ensuring movement of the products are placed in the correct bin locations.

Duties of the role will include:

  • Receiving goods from couriers, signing for them and checking for damage/ completeness of deliveries
  • Identifying goods against orders on computer system/checking and inspecting the goods physically and against documentation/counting and repacking if required
  • Accurately recording the receipt of goods on the database, identifying suitable bins locations and moving the goods to those locations
  • Raising queries and rejects as and when required
  • Raising customer rejects when required
  • Developing/maintaining an adequate knowledge of other stores procedures in order to perform other duties as and when required/directed
  • Maintaining a high standard of housekeeping in the Goods Inwards area at all times
  • Promptly reporting any situations/conditions which may adversely affect the health and safety of employees or visitors to either a Warehouse Manager or Health & Safety Officer
  • Complying with all applicable procedures detailed in the Quality Manual and all other relevant company procedures
  • Maintaining health and safety in the working area
  • Any other ad hoc duties that may reasonably be required
Special Requirements: 

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:

  • Good IT knowledge/computer literate/numerical skills
  • Forklift license (advantageous)
  • Good communication skills
  • Meticulous and precise at all times

  • Ability to prioritise, multi-task and work without supervision
  • Excellent time management/organisational skills
