Our client, a fast growing innovator in a niche technology sector, is looking for an IT Support with outstanding customer service skills to provide first line support to customers and to ensure the smooth running of the hardware and software products.

Responsibilities to include :-

  • Providing application support for their in-house built products, installing, configuring, supporting and training the full product range with end customers
  • Ensuring the smooth running of the supporting infrastructure for cloud, desktop and mobile solutions through daily monitoring tasks
  • Documentation of all customer issues/cases into Helpdesk system and following up of all open issues according to company acceptable service standards
  • Documenting IT procedures to solve common customer problems
  • Assisting with application and product testing as required, including product specifications, test plans and release management
  • Debugging existing application issues in Visual Studio and SQL database issues if/when the opportunity arises

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills to manage customer communications
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and issues/meeting conflicting demands
  • A self-starter, ability to figure things out and teach yourself how to get it done, as well as working collaboratively with others to resolve issues and achieve goals
  • General IT knowledge of networks and operating systems
  • At least 1 year’s experience providing IT support, or alternatively an IT related degree/BTEC Level 3 or equivalent
  • A vendor certification (e.g. MCSA, CCNA) would be a bonus
  • Knowledge of a programming language (such as ASP.NET and/or C#) a distinct advantage
  • Knowledge of MS-SQL Database and SQL Language
  • Ability to improve processes
  • Ability to work to KPIs
  • Great attention to detail
